September 2 – Nurses should be good role models for their patients and commit to exercise and healthy lifestyles, it has been claimed.
Joyce Fitzpatrick, Professor of Nursing at the Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing at Case Western Reserve University, USA, said that nurses should lead by example and encourage their patients to adopt healthier ways of living.
A study, co-authored with Eileen M. Esposito from Physicians & Ambulatory Network Services at the North Shore, LIJ Health System in Manhasset, New York, questioned 112 nurses about their lifestyles and attitudes to healthy living. Read More
